My Story:
I was Born to teen parents in the University Court Housing Projects in Nashville, TN. My two younger sisters and I were raised by my mother, a single parent until she died of HIV when I was 12yrs old. Wounded: After the death of my mother the family was separated. I spent the remainder of my teen years in and out of trouble. Broken: Not long after my mother’s death, I was sexually abused for the first time, spawning a downward spiral of promiscuity and self-loathing. Troublemaker: In school, I became known as a troublemaker resulting in me dropping out school. Change: When I was around 16 I was introduced to some adults who saw value in me. The invested in me and my gifts and made me believe that I could change my situation. I went to school got my G.E.D. and enrolled in University. The struggles and mistakes of my life have fueled me. My heart is to use what I have learned and experienced to help others.
My Passion:

Using the tools of Motivational Speaking, Poetry and Music to bring awareness and freedom. I want to inspire the next generation. To teach them it doesn’t matter where you come from or what life has thrown at you; Dreams still come true! All things are still possible.
My Work:
I started my service at home in the neighborhood I grew up in running a kids outreach program on Saturday mornings through my church. I spent many years as a Worship Leader and Youth Minister in the same community.
While serving in my community I also spent over 10 years working with Love in a Big World, an Educational NPO. The organization teaches kids Character and gives them Hope. I traveled as a Performer and Motivational Speaker and reached over 500,000 youth in 10 cities with LBW.
I began to work in Africa in 2008. I started work in Uganda with former child soldiers and eventually ended up settling in South Africa. While in South Africa I established Love in a Big World, Africa. I serve as Regional Director. Through LBW Africa I have branched out to India and Mozambique. I also became a Certified Life Coach.
I serve by telling my story through different art mediums. Teaching people to dream and coaching them along the way.
